SIAD Romania, a leading company operating in the production and sale of industrial, food, specialty, and medical gases, is looking for a highly organized and proactive professional to join our Technical & Production team as Plant Manager-Deputy at our Air Separation Unit in Calarasi.

Role Overview

As Plant Manager-Deputy, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant operation of the ASU plant. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will support daily operations, maintenance planning and performance optimization, while being prepared to fully assume plant leadership responsibilities during the Plant Manager’s absence. This role is part of a structured succession plan, offering strong exposure to plant management and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications for success

• University degree in Automation, Engineering or another relevant technical field
• Strong technical background in industrial and highly automated processes
• Minimum 2 years of management experience in operation or maintenance of industrial process plants
• Solid knowledge of applicable legal, technical, environmental and HSE regulations
• Energy Manager Certificate is considered an advantage
• Good command of English (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

• Ensure the qualitative and quantitative operation of the ASU plant in line with technical parameters, safety standards and company policies
• Provide operational support to the Plant Manager in managing plant performance, maintenance planning and compliance activities
• Replace the Plant Manager during absences, coordinating site operations, personnel and communication with local and group level managers
• Ensure compliance with all legal, technical, environmental and safety requirements, representing the company in front of local authorities (ISU, Environmental Agency, ISCIR, etc.)
• Coordinate maintenance activities and shutdown planning
• Monitor production parameters and operational KPIs, proposing corrective and preventive actions where needed
• Prepare and communicate energy consumption forecasts and actively support energy efficiency initiatives
• Support continuous improvement projects related to safety, reliability, quality and cost optimization.
